THE 12 THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU WHEN YOU HAVE TRUE DEVOTION TO ST. PADRE PIO OF PIETRELCINA.
St. Pio of Pietrelcina, affectionately known as PADRE PIO was a Capuchin Franciscan and one of the greatest mystics of the 20th century. For 50 years he bore the stigmata (bleeding wound marks) of Christ. He was a man of suffering, a suffering he united to the cross of Jesus crucified.
Even while Padre Pio was alive, venerable Pope Pius XII considered him a saint and encouraged people to visit the holy Franciscan mystic in San Giovanni Rotondo. A devoutly Marian Priest, St. Pio offered fraternal guidance to his brother priests regarding the Blessed Virgin Mary. His Priestly heart was on fire with love for Mary, he knew that THERE IS NO OTHER PATH LEADING TO LIFE EXCEPT THE ONE TROD BY OUR SPIRITUAL MOTHER.
He was BEATIFIED on the 2nd of May, 1999 by St. John Paul II.
HE was CANONIZED on the 16th of June, 2002 by St. John Paul II.
His feast day is September 23rd.
