the body of Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows was found to be incorrupt when it was exhumed years after his death. [1]
Exhumation timeline: His body was examined decades after he passed away from tuberculosis in 1862. [1]
Reports from his cause for canonization noted that his bodily remains were preserved (incorrupt).
His sacred relics are now housed and venerated at the Sanctuary of St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Isola del Gran Sasso, Italy.
“I have given myself entirely to God.”
Born in Assisi in 1838, St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows was baptized in the very same baptismal font where St. Francis of Assisi had been baptized centuries earlier.
But Gabriel did not begin his life as the solemn religious people might imagine.
As a young man, he was charming, sociable, and well liked. He enjoyed the pleasures and attention that came with youth. He could spend hours in front of a mirror making sure he looked perfect before going to parties. He was known among his friends as something of a ladies' man, and he even dreamed of finding a young woman he could marry.
His life seemed headed in an ordinary direction.
Then everything changed.
Gabriel became seriously ill.
Faced with the possibility of death, he turned to God and prayed for healing. In his desperation, he made a promise: if God spared his life, he would leave his old way of living behind and enter religious life.
He recovered.
And Gabriel did not forget his promise.
He entered the Passionist religious order and took the name Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows, placing himself under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The young man who had once cared deeply about his appearance and worldly pleasures gradually became known for his humility, purity, charity, prayer, and deep love for Christ.
His conversion was not simply a change of clothing or surroundings. It was a change of heart.
Gabriel embraced religious life with remarkable joy and devotion. He became especially devoted to the Passion of Christ and to Our Lady of Sorrows, seeking to unite his own life and suffering with the suffering of Jesus.
Yet his health remained fragile.
He eventually contracted tuberculosis, the disease that would take his life. His illness became increasingly severe, and he grew weaker as the years passed.
He never became a priest.
On February 27, 1862, at only 23 years old, Gabriel died at the Passionist monastery in Isola del Gran Sasso, Italy.
His life had been short, but his transformation was extraordinary.
The young man who once dreamed of parties, romance, and worldly admiration had discovered something greater: a life completely given to God.
He had left behind the person he once was and found his identity in Christ and under the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows was canonized in 1920 by Pope Benedict XV. He is remembered especially as a patron of young people and students.
His feast is celebrated on February 27—and on February 28 in leap years.

my spiritual experience
Here is my spiritual experience:
Don't ask others: How much do you pray daily, how much do you meditate, how much do you read the Bible, how many times do you receive Holy Communion, how much money do you donate?
Everyone's capacity is limited. Some are healthy, some have domestic helper(it's better if they don't have, as this is even poorer in spirit), some have no children, some have parents who take care of everything, some are retired, some are smarter and have earned a lot of money; the good deeds they do vary.
A patient with many illnesses, needing dialysis, daily injections and medication, spends more time resting and sleeping than a nun, so the nun does more than him.
So, since he prays less than others,and he can only donate little , then he cannot become sanctified?
No.
The most important things are:
1. Pray daily for your own sanctification, even if you fail repeatedly.
2. Accept the pain of being inferior to others , cultivate humility daily
3. Accept the suffering of life and physical illness.
4. Act of contrition before sleep. Repent sincerely. If you cannot receive Holy Communion in mass, pray for spiritual communion.
5. Maintain your purity and innocence, and do confession regularly, at least once every two weeks.
6. Learn to let go. Focus solely on your spiritual practice and don't compare yourself to others.
What harm does comparing yourself to others do?
Jealousy, hatred, malice, despondency, loss of motivation for sanctification, resentment towards God, cessation of good deeds, alienation from God, hatred of the world, and seeking out Buddhist books, leading to demonic harassment.
Don't ask others how they cultivate virtue, and don't boast. If you have questions, buy some holy books and read them yourself. Keep your holiness in your own heart; there's no need to share it with everyone. Some people will smile and say nice things to you, but will try to take an opportunity in the future to harm you , causing you to sin greatly. After you sin, you may still thank them wholeheartedly ,which will only make the devils' plans more successful.
Most importantly, do your best in everything you can to sanctify yourself, using your natural gifts of health or any ailments you may have. Don't share with others everything about yourself, especially your sanctity ; solitude may sometimes is the safest place.

這是我以下的靈修經歷：
不要問別人： 你每天祈禱多少， 默想多少，看聖書多少， 聖體降福多少， 捐多少錢
每人能力有限。 有人有健康的， 有工人的（ 無工人更好， 更神貧）， 無子女的， 有父母打點一切的 ，退休的， 較聰明賺到不少錢的；做的善功各有不同。
一個有很多病， 要洗腎、 每天打針吃藥 的病人， 休息和睡覺的時間比一個修女更多， 所以修女做的比他更多
那麼他祈禱又少， 捐款又不能多， 他不能成聖？
不是的
最重要的是：
1。 每天要為自己成聖祈禱， 雖然屢敗屢挫
2。 每天接受自己比人差的痛苦， 修謙德
3。 接受生活和身體的病苦
4。 每天睡前省察， 上等痛悔， 不能實領聖體就神領聖體
5。 保持無罪的純潔， 定期找神父告解， 最少二週一次
6。 懂得放手， 在神修上只管盡力， 不要和別人比較
和別人比較有什麼害處？
妒忌， 憎恨， 心地歹毒， 頹喪， 不再有力去成聖， 憤恨天主， 停止善功， 遠離天主， 憎恨世界， 尋找外教的書導致魔鬼騷擾
不要問人他怎修德， 也不要炫耀。 有問題自己買聖書看。 把自己的聖德放在自己心中， 無需和別人分享， 因為有些人聽後笑笑口對你， 趁機會就陷害你， 令你犯罪， 你犯了罪還要多謝他， 他更得逞。
最重要是盡自己能力、 本份、 天生的健康恩賜或所負的疾病， 盡自己所能去做成聖的每一件事， 不要和別人分享， 多獨處， 就是最安全。

1. My Jesus, I offer you for the benefit of the souls in Purgatory, the merits of your sufferings endured for our redemption. I start by contemplating the Blood that oozed out from your Body due to the sadness and anguish that you experienced in the Garden of Gethsemane.

天主教有何吸引？
What makes Catholicism so appealing?
1. Daily Holy Communion
2. Maintaining a pure soul through confession
3. Eucharistic adoration and blessing
4. The most accurate translation of the Catholic Bible among all Chinese Bibles. Protestant Chinese Bibles are always incomprehensible
5. Love for the Virgin Mary, reciting the Rosary, and practicing chastity. This is something most difficult to achieve in other Christian denominations.
6. The incorruptibility of saints after death.
7. Miracles after the death of saints.
8. Emphasis on the Ten Commandments
9. Emphasis on the Old Testament. Catholic catechism is a combined Old and New Testament.
10. Emphasis on inner cultivation, speaking little, asceticism, solitude, silence, and focused mind.
11. Fasting and self-denial. This is rarely achieved in other Christian religions, except for Eastern Orthodoxy.
12. The accuracy of the stories of the Apparitions of Jesus Christ.
13. Poverty of spirit and of the flesh. Many pastors of other Christian denominations are worth hundreds of millions, living in mansions and owning several cars. Catholic monks, on the other hand, are truly poor, follow the Gospel, and possess the Beatitudes.
The most important characteristic that distinguishes Catholicism from other Christian denominations is that Catholicism excels in spiritual poverty, genuine poverty, chastity, obedience to the Ten Commandments, spreading the Gospel, practicing the teachings of Jesus, purity, and self-denial.

聖德蘭
如果我有朝一日成為聖人——我必定是黑暗中的聖人。我將去照亮世間黑暗中的人們。
我一直很喜歡德蕾莎修女這句鮮為人知的名言。想到像她這樣聖潔而光輝燦爛的人也曾經歷過深重的黑暗，這給了我希望，讓我能在自己感到生活陰霾的時候重見光明。
長久以來，許多人一直對聖潔的概念感到困惑。他們曾以為聖潔意味著活在永恆的喜樂之中，從不懷疑，從不與天主爭辯。但德蕾莎修女徹底打破了他們的這種誤解。
五十年來，她經歷了靈修作家所說的「靈魂的黑夜」。她感受不到上主的存在。她質疑祂是否真的與她親近。她甚至有時懷疑祂是否存在──許多聖人，包括聖女小德蘭，也都經歷過這種感受。我無法想像她被那樣遺棄的感受，但她卻堅持了下來。
儘管沉默不語，她依然出現。她繼續愛、服事、宣揚上主，並以祂的名義拯救生命。即使內心感到空虛，她依然成為基督的雙手和雙腳。這種忠誠令我謙卑。

理解天主教信仰：信條、聖事
七位曾於祈禱受挫的聖人及其堅持不懈的歷程
許多人認為，聖人的祈禱如同源源不絕的平安、喜樂和靈性慰藉。然而，事實遠比這更令人嘆息。聖人也是凡人。他們也曾與各種幹擾、靈性枯竭、悲傷、誘惑，甚至深重的靈性黑暗奮戰。他們之所以成為聖人，並非因為禱告總是輕而易舉，而是因為他們在困難時依然保持忠貞。他們的生平提醒我們，聖德的衡量標準並非感受，而是堅持。
聖方濟‧沙雷氏深知心神遊離的挫敗感。祂教導我們，當各種幹擾出現時，我們不應生氣或灰心喪志。相反，我們應該溫柔而耐心地將注意力重新集中到天主身上。每一次回歸本身都是一種愛的行動。與其評斷自己，不如將我們的軟弱託付給主，祂洞察我們祈禱的真心。
聖女大德蘭承認，多年來她的祈禱斷斷續續，心不在焉。然而，她從未放棄祈禱。她發現，祈禱不只是念誦經文，更是與基督建立友誼。透過每日的堅持，她與耶穌的關係日益加深，並成為教會歷史上最偉大的祈禱導師之一。她的榜樣提醒我們，虔誠的祈禱會隨著時間的推移而改變人心。
聖女小德蘭經歷了漫長的靈性枯竭和內心疲憊。她常常感覺不到任何屬靈的安慰，卻依然以孩童般的信賴祈禱。她選擇以簡單的信德行動而非情感來愛天主。她的「神嬰小道」教導我們，即使祈禱感覺空虛，每一個獻給天主的虔誠時刻在祂眼中都彌足珍貴。
聖女貞·弗朗西絲·德·尚塔爾在丈夫去世後經歷了悲痛欲絕的痛苦。她的心中充滿了悲傷和焦慮，但她學會了將一切交託給天主的眷顧。在聖方濟沙雷氏的指引下，她發現，當情緒幾乎淹沒我們時，信賴和服從便成了我們的錨。她的一生提醒我們，天主常常在我們受苦時以最溫柔的方式與我們相遇。
聖傅天娜·科瓦爾斯卡也經歷過靈性枯竭、誘惑和內心的痛苦。她的力量源自於對天主慈悲的堅定不移的信賴。即使她感受不到天主的存在，她仍然相信祂的愛。她那句簡單的祈禱：“耶穌，我信賴你”，至今仍在激勵著無數的靈魂。

如果今天祈禱很艱難，請不要失去希望。你正走在與教會許多最偉大的聖人相同的道路上。繼續祈禱，繼續信賴，繼續堅持。天主常常在靜默中成就祂最深遠的工作，以你尚未察覺的方式塑造你的靈魂。正如主在《默示錄》中所應許的：「你務要至死忠心，我就賜給你那生命的冠冕。」願我們以堅定不移的信心堅持祈禱，因為我們知道，每一個虔誠的時刻都會讓我們更接近基督聖心。
聖德蘭姆姆
以下是聖德蘭修女今天的教導。
「我之所以獲得諾貝爾獎，是因為窮人。然而，這個獎項的意義遠不止於此。事實上，它喚醒了全世界對窮人的良知。它時刻提醒我們，窮人是我們的兄弟姐妹，我們有責任以愛待他們。”
以下是《煉獄聖魂每日靈修》中的一段反思。
「加爾各答的德蘭修女（現已封聖）曾說：『我只是天主手中的一支鉛筆，祂正向世界寫一封情書。』」煉獄中的靈魂也向天主寫情書。煉靈也為那些曾為他們祈禱的教友祈禱。看來，這些聖潔的靈魂是天主最親密的朋友。因此，如果我們效法基督就能成為祂的朋友，那麼這些智慧的靈魂已經明白，要像基督一樣，就必須效法祂的苦難。這就是為什麼這些可憐的靈魂棲息在刺穿基督心臟的傷口中。他們安息在基督的傷口裡，那裡是他們的磐石和堡壘（詠18:2），如同鴿子藏身於磐石的縫隙中（歌2:14）。這些聖潔的靈魂感受到聖心的跳動，他們的每一次祈禱都與祂愛的心跳完美契合，這愛渴望拯救靈魂。
聖體是耶穌
1608年5月，在法國法韋爾內（Faverney）的本篤會修道院－聖母院（Notre-Dame de la Blanche），五旬節之夜發生了一場大火。臨時祭壇上未熄滅的蠟燭引起了燃燒木質結構。
到了第二天早上，祭壇、聖體龕、亞麻布以及周圍的家具都已化為灰燼。其中一盞枝形吊燈甚至被高溫融化。
然而，當司事和修士們進入煙霧瀰漫的教堂時，他們發現了一件令人震驚的事。盛放著兩片祝聖聖體的銀質聖體光仍懸在半空中——離地約五英尺，略微向唱詩班的鐵柵欄傾斜，但完全沒有可見的支撐物。它就這樣懸掛了三十三個小時，沒有受到火焰的侵蝕。
許多目擊者前來觀看。 5月27日清晨，彌撒中舉聖體時，聖體光緩緩自行扶正，輕輕落到下方鋪好的聖體布上。兩片聖體均完好無損。
教會當局迅速展開調查。貝桑松總主教宣布此事件為神蹟，教宗保祿五世隨後頒布了相關的大赦。其中一片聖體至今仍被保存並受人敬拜。
在聖體聖事真實臨在遭受猛烈攻擊的時代，天主賜予了一個令人矚目的神蹟：聖體聖事不會燃燒，不會墜落，始終與祂的子民同在。
